Days 1 – 4 : Selous Game Reserve, Tanzania

Stay at Azura Selous for 3 nights

On arrival into Dar es Salaam, you will be met and transferred to the domestic terminal for your light aircraft flight to the Selous Game Reserve which only takes around 45 minutes. The Selous is one of Africa’s greatest game reserves. The park supports a wide variety of wildlife including elephant, lion, leopard, hippo, buffalo, giraffe, crocodile and many antelope and bird species. The Rufiji River flows through the park and the terrain varies from riverine forest and alluvial flood plains with oxbow lagoons, to low mopane forest. On arrival into the Selous, you will be met and game driven to the ultra-luxurious Azura Selous Camp, where you will stay for three nights in a tented suite , with all meals, house drinks and game viewing activities included. This camp is really special with a plunge pool in every villa where you can relax under the Africa sun while observing the antics of resident hippos in the nearby river. It also boasts fantastic spa treatments which are perfect for indulging in between your exciting safari activities. The general day at Azura begins with a morning game activity followed by breakfast, some time to relax at camp, enjoying a delicious lunch and reading or cooling off in the main pool or private plunge pool, before you embark on an afternoon activity of your choice (another game drive or river cruise, walking safari or fishing). Dinner is served in a variety of locations and often in a new place every evening.

Days 4 – 11 : Paje, Zanzibar

Stay at Kisiwa on the Beach for 7 nights

This morning you will be able to go on a final game drive before being flown by light aircraft to Zanzibar, which will take about an hour. On arrival onto Zanzibar, you will be met by a guide and transferred privately by road to Kisiwa on the Beach where you will spend the next seven nights in a starehe luxury villa with breakfast and dinner included. Kisiwa on the Beach is an all villa resort located near the village of Paje. Kisiwa offers guests the chance to relax in villas that have sea views, nestled amongst tropical gardens and white powdery beaches. You can choose how you want to spend your days – there is something for everyone whether you want to put your feet up and relax or head out and explore Stone Town or the monkeys in Jozani Forest from the spa to all the various water activities they have on offer, from kite surfing and scuba-diving to snorkelling.

Day 11 : Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam

This afternoon you will be driven to Zanzibar airport for your flight back to Dar es Salaam; a short 20 minute hop.
